Shengtao Ye Memorial, the site of "the Fifth Higher Primary School of Wu County" Shengtao Ye ever taught in, was listed as the school moral education base in Jiangsu Province and the patriotism education base in Jiangsu Province.

　　Shengtao Ye (1894-1988), aged 94, was born in a civilian family in Suzhou. Due to the poor financial status of his family, he began a career of teacher in a primary school and was engaged in literary creation immediately after his graduation from Suzhou Caoqiao Middle School as 18 years old. He ever taught in the Fifth Higher Primary School of Wu County in 1917 to 1921, and thus forged a bond with Luzhi.

　　The Hall of the Memorial mainly exhibits the precious objects, photographs, and text information, presents various aspects of Ye’s glorious life and excellence in education, literature, social activities, and other significant contributions, particularly in the education reform practice, literature, and so on during his years in Luzhi.

　　On December 8th, 1988, Ye unfortunately died in Beijing, and his ashes was buried in his second hometown, Luzhi, under escort of his relatives and relevant leaders.
