Xiao House is about 30 meters south of Hefeng Bridge (Sino-US Bridge), and located in the 6th Shangtang Street, Zhongshi District. It was built in the fifteen year of Qing Guangxu (1889), and is a well-preserved residence of the Qing Dynasty nowadays. The current Xiao House has been designed as Fangfang Xiao Performance Hall.

　 　 Xiao House consists of five rooms, of which the four are open towards the east, followed by the gatehouse, tea room, loft, and dining room, all in a central line. The south of Xiao House is a lane for back-up about 150 meters long, commonly known as Xiao Lane. Its entrance hall is engraved with lotus relief column, the flower plate is embossed with phoenix pattern, and the beam of its tea room is embedded with embossed and engraved patterns. The balcony is the main part of the entire buildings with living room upstairs, parlor dinner downstairs, and layers of bannister around the main hall, in the general representative of the typical hall of the southern Yangtze River. Moreover, there was initially a large stable after the Xiao House, extremely rare in the residence of the southern Yangtze River. The main reason lies in that the previous owner was a successful candidate in the provincial military exams, horse husbandry was essential due to the necessity of practicing horse riding and archery. The north of the back door was a large yard, called Yang Garden, currently available for dwellings.
